In Transcarpathia a deceased came to court and gave up her apartment (VIDEO)

In Transcarpathia a dead person came to the court as the defendant and renounced her property in favor of the plaintiff.

This resonant fraud is being investigated by local law enforcement authorities.

Although, the criminal proceeding was initiated only in the third attempt.

The heirs who lost inheritance, assume that such deliberation of the police has to do with the fact that a policeman may be involved in the case, tells a TSN piece.

Ms. Olga Orban for four years has been camping on the doorsteps of different institutions. After the death of a single relative she hoped to become the successor to two-bedroom apartment.

"We waited for six months, in case another heir would appear. And then a neighbor said that some people had come. They said they were the owners of the apartment," - says Ms. Olga.

It turned out that, as a woman was waiting, the crooks seized the property through the court. Posing as guardians of the dead person, they drawn over his share of the apartment and sued the other, which was registered with a long-dead aunt. After that the dead woman was summoned to the court as a defendant.

"The court of appeal found out that the defendant was indeed the person who died. The criminal investigation will check the submission of the statement where the deceased person renounces this apartment," - confirmed Ruslan Bilovar, Prosecutor of Mukachevo.

Immediately after having assumed ownership the guardian sold the apartment to a police officer, and the latter within an hour resold it to another person.

Mykhailo Petrysche, head of the investigation department of Mukachevo City Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said: "One of the buyers of the flat indeed was a police officer. He has not made statements on the case, referring to Article 63 of the constitution."

Investigators say that they still can not figure out who brought to the court the statement on behalf of the deceased.  Without it, they say, it would be difficult to press charges against the swindler. He allegedly may have not known that he was suing a dead person.
