City government complains abouts Roma on carts (photo)

The City Council sent a report on another city inspection tour made by the mayor and city officials. The biggest complaints of the inspectors were about Gypsies who drived on carts in Uzhgorod.

"The decision to ban animal-drawn transport in the city was taken by Uzhgorod City Council a few years ago. But, unfortunately, it does not stop Uzhgorod Roma who violate all traffic rules, not paying attention to road signs in the city" - quote from the report of the mayor's office. However, it does not say how they are going to control the implementation of the ban and to fight with Roma on carts. Obviously, it is a job of the municipal police - at least, its head Oleksandr Shushka has been photographed near a gypsy wagon on the road near the "second" vehicle bridge.
