At the press center "Transcarpathia" a book about the oldest Ukrainian newspaper will be presented

Renowned Transcarpathian journalist Petro Chasto who currently resides in the United States, will present a book on Ukrainian journalism in America.
For two decades, Petro Chasto have been working as an editor of the oldest Ukrainian newspaper in the Americas - the "Svoboda". On the occcasion the 120th anniversary of the publication he and his daughter Erica Slutsky produced a fundamental 800 page volume about the history of the oldest existing Ukrainian newspaper in the world. (Until recently, it was issued daily!).
The book "Free Word of American Ukraine: on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the newspaper "Svoboda" was published in Uzhgorod publishing house "Timpani". The book has already been presented in the Department of Journalism of UzhNU, and will be presented at the Lviv Faculty of Journalism and in Kyiv Institute of Journalism.
