Scandinavian movies will be shown in Uzhgorod

Scandinavian movies screenings ‘Weekend with Vikings’ will be held in Uzhgorod on June 22, - informs ‘Visnyk Turinform’.

Uzhgorod audience will be presented with the most relevant short motion pictures of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland within these three festival days. The Kyiv International Festival of Short Motion Films organizer Kyrylo Marikutsa pointed out that the culture, art and everyday life of Scandinavia is extremely original, that is why the local film industry is also peculiar.

‘Scandinavian countries' cinematography is an extremely exciting, and in Ukraine this layer has not been represented sufficiently. The national audience has quite slight idea of this movie it differs qualitatively from films of the other regions. Selected for display short motion films are the best from the Scandinavian cinematography, the winners of the world film forums and recognized throughout the world. These films as small books, they little more than cinematography in the traditional sense. We hope that Uzhgorod audience is ready to perceive the new unusual form of cinema’, - informed organizers on the social network.

The beginning of the short motion films screening ‘Weekend with Vikings’ is on Friday, June 22 at 7 p.m. and lasts until June 24 in the Puppet Theater ‘Bavka’. Two new sessions from the festival will be presented every day. Detailed information on the website
