It was 200 euro, but became 500. This is the sum which Ukrainians are allowed to spend on products intended for import to Ukraine if they cross the border by road. Those who travel by plane can bring goods worth 1000 euro, weighing no more than 50 kilograms. These and many other changes in customs rules have been made in the new Customs Code of Ukraine which is now in force. For people crossing the state border twice per 24 hours tax penalties and fees at the checkpoint are provided too.
