Latvia citizen lost his car on the border as a result of children’s clothes smuggling

Minivan ‘Pontiac’ with Hungarian registration which belonged to the Latvia citizen that followed on the entry to Ukraine arrived at the border and customs checkpoint ‘Tysa’ last day. The border guard officers decided to check the mentioned vehicle. The application for in-depth car review conducting with the customs representatives was immediately drafted.

There were found hidden from the border and customs control foreign-made children’s clothing (242 items), access to which was possible only after the decorative door cover and spare wheel dismantling in the course of the joint investigation.

The cost of goods is approximately 16000 hryvnia, the car was previously assessed on the amount of 170000 hryvnia – informs Chop Border Guard Squad press service.
