The festival ‘Shypit’ history says that it was established as the phenomenon by several hippies in 1993 and for many years, this was the place of ‘pilgrimage’ of various subcultures supporters of the former Soviet Union.

Traditionally the festival Shypit will be held on Ivana Kupala holiday in Transcarpathia. Thousands of people from the former Soviet Union countries arrive here every summer in order to spend positively time and rest from civilization, fuss and hassle.

There is a charming mountain valley close to the waterfall which attracts a lot of people. Some people come here on the day or two, some stay here for a week and some – on the entire warm season. The majority of the Shypot contingent is the various subcultures representatives.

The culmination of the festival will be held on July 6-7.

Location: Mizhgiria district, the village of Podobovets, waterfall Shypit,- was informed in the tourist’s news.
