Uzhgorod is nineteenth in top-20 of the richest cities

Donetsk has received the title of the richest city of Ukraine for the first time. In the previous ratings every city of Ukraine failed to overtake Kyiv. It has not become the first in any criteria, but overtaken the capital in the total amount of scores.

The population in the richest city of Ukraine is three times lower than in Kiev. There are more hotels, restaurants and bank branches here. The level of unemployment is low in Donbas, and the increase of business is recorded here every year, writes magazine ‘Focus’.

In the capital of Ukraine, which took the second place there is the biggest amount of expenses per one citizen – 5720 hryvnia. On comparison, in Odessa the city budget spends only 2708 hryvnia per one inhabitant. Kyiv is leading with absolute number of jobs created. In this respect, good things are doing well in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk.

The third place in the ranking took Kharkov, the forth – Kherson and Lviv shuts the Top-5.

Traditionally, satellite towns of nuclear power plants – Energodar (6,171 hryvnia), Kuznetsovsk (6,060 hryvnia), Yuzhnoukrainsk (5,877 hryvnia) and Netishyn (5665 hryvnia) can boast with the highest average wage.

When calculating the rating the following factors were taken into account – the level of economically active population provision, average wage, expenses of the city budget per one citizen, the level of employment and unemployment, the level of business activity. The development of shopping and entertainment infrastructure, housing fund of the city, taking into account housing that has been built for the last year.
