"Ukravtodor" warns drivers not to drive during heat

The State Road Agency of Ukraine ("Ukravtodor") warns drivers not to drive long distances during the heat, especially in the daytime. When it is absolutely necessary drivers should take measures to prevent overheating of the body.

As the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine informs, road workers are addressing lorry drivers with a request to change the schedules of cargo transportation and work at night instead. Because of hot weather, rutting and other kinds of deformation appear on the asphalt concrete coat and that has a negative impact on traffic safety.

Now due to increased air temperature "Ukravtodor" has imposed restrictions of movement on public roads for vehicles weighing more than 24 tons with an axle load of more than 7 tons.

Ministry of Infrastructure and "Ukravtodor" are asking drivers to follow the requirements of the means of traffic control installed on the roads.
