The meeting of Ukrainian and Romanian leaders and experts of the working group on the river of Tysa was held this week on August in the city of Siget Marmatsi, Romania. It was held from the Ukrainian side initiative.

The main purpose of the meeting is the coordination of documentation on water bodies. The precedent - started on July 10 works on the banks of the river of Tysa near the village of Remets (Romania), that were conducted without the prior approval from the Ukrainian side. As a result, Ukrainian waterman-experts were asked to suspend the work that the Romanian side carried out on July 31.

As far as the Ukrainian side received documents on approval only on August 7 they will give their conclusions within two weeks after the documentations’ study. By that time the Romanian side received approval to continue work on the coast’s protection.
