The number of supporters of independence outnumbers opponents in each of the Ukrainian regions. The independence is mostly supported by young people, while elderly do it to much lesser extent.
The majority of Ukrainians (61%) would support the independence of Ukraine, if they face with this choice today. Thus, 26% – would not support, and the other 13% – are undecided. These figures were received during a survey conducted by sociological group "Rating" in August.
If the West almost 90% would support independence, in the North and Center – about 70%, in the East, South and Donbass – less than a half, 47% and 44% respectively. The number of supporters of independence outnumbers opponents in each of the Ukrainian regions.
