Student dentists of UzhNU undertook their internship in Slovakia
From 5 to 24 August students of Faculty of Dentistry of UzhNU had their internship in Slovakia in the "Petramed" private dental clinic (city of Čadca), managed by Peter Dzhupa and dental department of the Louis Pasteur regional hospital (city of Kosice), managed by Professor Andriy Yencha.
Ten students of Faculty of Dentistry undertook their internship. The total duration of internship was 3 weeks. Everyone had the opportunity to try out different areas of dentistry starting from professional oral hygiene and ending with laboratory stages of manufacturing all removable and non-removable orthotic designs in ''Petramed" dental laboratories. A student conference was conducted where speakers reported about new technologies and tendencies in dentistry, after which all the participants were given certificates and the winners were awarded with gifts.
The second part of internship was held in Kosice at the dental department of the regional hospital.Professor Abdriy Yencha gave students the opportunity to improve their skills in surgical dentistry and demonstrated complex clinical cases that required treatment under general anesthesia due to patients' mental and neurological disorders. Thus, students could see more radical surgery on patients with oncopathology - informs Faculty of Dentistry of UzhNU.
