Socially important products have risen in price

During August 10-14 the prices for most socially important goods in Ukraine rose in average by 0.1-1.6%, including sugar which price rose by 1.2%.

This is illustrated by monitoring of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, informs "Ukrinform."

According to the agency, the biggest increase was discovered in the prices for rice (1.6%), sugar (1.2%), fresh potatoes (1.1%), buckwheat grits and eggs of categories 1-2 (0.7%), sour cream with 15 % fat content (0.3%), flour and salo (0.2%), beef, pork, chicken carcasses, butter (fat content 72-73%) and gasoline A-95 (0.1%).

Price tags on white bread (with flour), rye and rye-wheat bread, pasta, cooked sausages of first grade, milk (2.5% fat), soft cheese (fat 9%), sunflower oil and diesel fuel remained unchanged.

Prices for onions (-4.6%), carrots (-2.3%) and cabbage (-1.9%) decresed.

As you know, monitoring of the average prices for socially important products is regularly performed in regional centers of Ukraine, Bila Tserkva, Sevastopol and Simferopol. 

Earlier, the Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that Ukraine there were no grounds to increase the prices for sugar.
