Rusin: in Uzhgorod they still cannot decide who should install video surveillance of the streets

Not only police is responsible for law and order in cities, towns and villages. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Transcarpathian region Victor Rusin is outraged by the fact that local authorities do not properly deal with this problem. He said this while talking to reporters on the air of "Tisa-1."

"If the whole city is in darkness, what can the police do?" – asks Victor Rusin, referring to the regional center. In addition, according to the chief police officer, surveillance, introduced in most European countries, should positively influence order in the city". We continually raise this issue to the leaders of cities, but now this issue has been resolved only in Mukachevo and, if I am not mistaken, funding has been discussed in Svalyava"- he said.

In addition, according to the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the money, that more than half a year ago was allocated for installation of CCTV systems in Uzhgorod by the city council, has been spent for other purposes. "Obviously, they still cannot decide which company will install these devices", – said Victor Rusin.
