Rallies do not stop on Narodna Square in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)
The political forces that oppose the language law, encamped under the walls of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. Activists of Union opposition parties ‘UDAR’, ‘Svoboda’ and others have been defending the right of a single state Ukrainian language for the third day. Today, July 6, the deputies of local councils arrived to the regional center in order to demonstrate that the Transcarpathian hinterlands are not aloof of significant events.
‘We were not able to gather an extraordinary session in Rakhiv District Council yesterday, it was simply foiled - said the deputy Oksana Sevch. - But it does not mean that we give up. Tomorrow is a working day and we again will convene a session.
Uzhgorod city council deputy Rostyslav Bulanov said that action in the regional center passes peacefully so far, many people approach to the tents and express their support. ‘We will stand here until the end until the President veto this bill, which actually divides our country into pieces - said the leader of the party ‘UDAR’.
We remind that numerous protests started in Ukraine since the adoption of language law in the Parliament.
