Pole tried to transport across the border 2000 packs of cigarettes

2000 boxes of cigarettes were found by Chop border guards’ squad and customs officers at a checkpoint ‘Uzhgorod’ this morning. The citizen of Poland is involved in their transportation.

The man chose ‘green corridor’ as a passage control lane. However, his nervous behavior forced the border guards to doubt his words that he was not carrying prohibited items.

1,980 packs of cigarettes ‘Minsk city’ were revealed in the course of depth review of the car. The driver hid them by a decorative covering of the back wing, roof and door covering. 

Tobacco products with cost of 5.5 thousand hryvnia were seized together with the car, which was registered as a mean of goods’ transportation. Car’s price was assessed as nearly 250 thousand hryvnia, - informed the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
