Pavlo Lazarenko is to stand for elections to the Verkhovna Rada

Ex-Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko is going to run for the elections to the Verkhovna Rada - the press service of "Gromada" Party informs.

The Congress of “All-Ukrainian Association "Hromada"” Party will take place on August 4, 2012. It will focus on pre-election activities of the Party and the candidates for the deputies will be confirmed, who will be nominated in the Party list and in the majority constituencies. This was informed by the chairman of "Hromada" Party Pavel Lazarenko.

"The party will go to the polls, headed by its leader - Pavel Ivanovich Lazarenko, who will be the first in top five of the party list. The list will also include academics, representatives of local government, public figures", - said the press service.

We remind that Lazarenko is serving a sentence in the United States, the appeal process in his case is continuing.
