‘Migrant worker’ with contraband cigarettes was detained by Chop border guards

Four attempts to illegally cross the border were stopped by Chop border guards. Detainees in all cases were citizens of Ukraine.

Two of them were detained at the checkpoint ‘Tysa’ since they tried to cross the border with invalid passport documents which had expired.

The third ‘traveler’ was detained by ‘Palad Komarivtsi’ border guards department in the evening, when he tried to illegally cross the border from Slovakia to Ukraine. The circumstances of this detention will be installed later, because at the moment of the arrest man had signs of alcohol intoxication.

The fourth offender was detained on the territory of ‘Velykyi Bereznyi’ department. ‘Migrant worker’ tried to transfer to Slovakia one thousand packs of cigarettes in the middle of the night. He did not stop and tried to escape, so the border guards had to detain him by using warning shots up.

The court will determine the further fate of detainees, and, by the way, the state treasury can get additional 13600 hryvnia – informs the press service of Chop border guards.
