In Uzhgorod was filmed movie on Mykyta Mikhalkov’s request

The film after the novel written by the famous Transcarpathian writer Dmytro Keshelia, which is called ‘The Tree, Which Was Planted by an Angel’ was presented to Uzhgorod audience for the first time. Artistic director and producer of the tape became Oleksandr Hereshko.

The film sounds in Russian, because it was made on Mykyta Mikhalkov’s deputy request for the distribution firm. ‘Moscovteleshow’ where everyone eventually will have an opportunity to buy the presented movie takes place every year in autumn and spring in Moscow. Film crew plans to make Ukrainian and Hungarian versions in the future. Victor Holub (actor), Daryna Gorshkova (actress), Victor Tsoklan (producer), Volodymyr Duda (operator) and others also joined to the work on creation of the film. Its length is 26 minutes.

Two plot situations are present in the film, namely love and nature. The plot is based on the love story of two young people. When Sakura blossomed in the town, a young girl sent to her beloved, who was studying in Budapest, a telegram ‘Arrive. Sakura Blossomed’. Security Special Service’s workers of the Soviet Union understood this telegram as a spy password, and therefore detained the girl. But despite all this enamored met. Next time a young man must come when the lime will blossom.

At the end of the movie verses in Japanese are sounded. According to the story, rich lord samurai offers to choose one of his daughters, with one of he will have a peaceful and stable life, with the other - brilliant and unpredictable. This choice will be the fundamental philosophical question the film.

According to Volodymyr Hereshka it is very hard nowadays to find a good scenario for non-commercial project. You can talk about scenarios crisis not only in Ukraine but also abroad.

Dmytro Keshelya emphasizes that Ukraine has a meager financial base for the development of cinematography. For example, this year the Ministry of Culture has allocated 100 million hryvnia for the development of motion pictures in Ukraine. But such funding can be used only for creation of one film. Let us hope only for better.
