In Transcarpathia 40 hectares of forest burned because of "Governor's" hunting
Last Saturday Transcarpathian officials arranged hunting with very large "fireworks."
A major fire occured past weekend in Transcarpathia. About 40 acres of forest burned in the area which formerly belonged to Beregovo forestry and in 2011 was transferred to Hunting Club "Hubert." Although the fire started back on Saturday the rescue team received this information only on Sunday.
According to the witnesses the fire was preceded by a big feast of Transcarpathian officials. Among the participants were noticed head of Transcarpathian Administration, leader of the regional branch of Party of Regions Oleksandr Ledyda and head of Beregovo RSA Igor Svyshcho.
The fact of the fire and its large scale was confirmed in Territorial department of Ministry of Emergencies in the Transcarpathian region. It was told that the damage would have been much less if firefighters were reported in time. However, apparently, the organizers of the "hot" party wanted to silence the situation so as not to draw attention to important people involved.
Hunting Club "Hubert" was given hunting ground area of 3077.5 hectares, including - 2252.5 hectares of SE "Beregovo LH" forest land and 825 acres of farmland outside settlements.
As confirmed by the extract from the Unified Register of Community Groups, members of this hunting club include the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda and regional deputy Stepan Derkach. After that, it becomes clear how hunters with high offices got quite a tidbit on the border of Beregovo, Mukachevo and Irshava districts.
Also "governor" club "Hubert" has received approval from the Beregovo authorities to use 825 hectares of agricultural land in the tract "Chere-Lanhodar" which belongs to well-known wine companies.
