Former rector of UzhNU Mykola Vehesh and neurosurgeon Volodymyr Smolanka are self-nominated candidates

The former rector of Uzhgorod National University, Mykola Vehesh, a Regional Council deputy registered as a candidate to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. This became known from the CEC resolution № 147, August 3.

Mykola Vehesh runs for election as a self-nominated candidate on the 70th county, which includes Svalyava, Mizhgiria, Volovets, Bereznyi, Perechyn and a part of Mukachiv districts. It was predicted earlier that Vehesh will run as a candidate from Yedynyi Tsentr party (United Center), however, as we can see, the former rector went by means of self-nomination, although in his data he indicated that he is a member of the United Center.

Famous neurosurgeon, a Regional Council deputy Volodymyr Smolank was registered as a candidate from Uzhhorod County. He is also comes as a self-nominated candidate, though he is also a member of the party United Center.

The mentioned CEC Resolution registered candidates and deputies of the city council. They are Pavlo Chuchka, former Mayor of Uzhgorod Serhiy Ratushniak and entrepreneur Bogdan Zaviyskyi.

Mykola Shimon, a president of the International Charity Fund ‘The Bells of life’ is registered as a candidate on the 71st county (Khusts, a part of Irshava and Tyachiv district)
