Fire in Rakhiv: three houses damaged, 11 people left homeless (PHOTOS)
On July 17, at lunchtime, wooden summer kitchen, belonging to a local resident, caught fire on the Partisanskaya street in Rakhiv, Transcarpathian region. Because of built-up, the fire quickly spread to the roof of the adjacent three neighbors’ houses.
Eight mountain rescue departments from Rakhiv, Tyachiv, v. Vidrichka, Solotvyno, Teresva and the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve worked to eliminate fire.
Material damage is being calculated. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the experts of experimental and testing laboratory of the Office of State Technogenic Safety in Transcarpathian region. Several versions are being considered at the moment, but most likely that the fire was caused by a violation of the rules of installation and operation of stove heating.
A commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies of Rakhiv district administration was working on the scene. Families of the apartment owners have been temporarily relocated to their relatives.
