Deputy Vasyl Petyovka asks Transcarpathian authorities to stop publicizing

These days, deputy Vasyl Petyovka appealed to the heads of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Tyachiv and Rakhiv district administrations with the demand to immediately begin distributing free digital TV tuners.
Ukraine gradually shifts to digital broadcasting. To achieve this, the state budget provides funds for the purchase of TV tuners for low-income citizens. Categories of citizens eligible for free TV tuners and the procedure for the use of these funds is determined by the Decree of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 245 dd. March 21, 2012.

People who belong to these categories should apply for tuners to welfare offices. "I emphasize that TV tuners priced at about 500 UAH were purchased at the expense of taxpayers. I demand that officials do not wait for elections and hand them as charity from the government or themselves, doing PR at the expense of the people's money" - quote from the appeal.
