Citizen of Turkey may be sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment

On August 8, investigators of Security Service administration in Transcarpathian region forwarded to court one criminal case related to the Turkish citizen who was attempting to transfer four illegal immigrants through the state border of Ukraine and Slovakia.

As it turned out, in 2009 the alien has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment for illegal transfer of people across the state border of Ukraine and forgery. He was early released by court’s decision and expelled from Ukraine.In June the intruder organized transfer for two Syrians and two nationals through Ukraine to the EU. Since the intruder was under a ban to enter Ukraine, he used a false passport with different name.

Investigators of SSU in Transcarpathian region brought an action against the Turkish citizen according to the paragraph 332, part 3 (smuggling of persons across the state border of Ukraine) and paragraph 358, part 4 (forgery of documents, seals, stamps and printed forms, distribution or use of false documents, stamps, seals) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The violator may be sentenced from 7 to 9 years of imprisonment – informs the SSU press center.
