A Head of Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in Ukraine Shukhrat Sultonov on Monday, July 23. The meeting dealt with cooperation of Tajikistan with Transcarpathia - informs the press-center of RSA.

The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Ukraine was opened just a year ago. The main directions of cooperation in economic and social fields were defined during this period between the two countries. In order to develop regional relations Ambassador Shukhrat Sultonov made a working visit to Lviv and Transcarpathian region. During the meeting with the head of Transcarpathia, the guest pointed out possible areas of cooperation:

- It makes sense to talk on economic cooperation. In particular, we are interested in your experience in the wood industry and the furniture manufacturing. It is very important for our country. As for the cooperation of regions, today the Republic of Tajikistan works with Kharkiv, Luhansk and Dnipropetrovsk region. Therefore we hope that soon we will establish such relationship with Transcarpathia.

We found many common themes for the further work. In particular, Tajikistan today is interested in wood production, Transcarpathian recreational field and in our mineral waters - concluded Oleksandr Ledyda.
