A Ukrainian was deprived of «RENAULT TRAFIC» due to 800 packs of cigarettes

Ukrainian driver attempted to get a custom clearance for the truck Mercedes Sprinter 416 SDI and identified value which was twice lower than its actual price. In another case, our fellow-citizen was deprived of his «RENAULT TRAFIC» worth almost 100,000 hryvnias due to hidden 800 packs of cigarettes ...

Driving home from Hungary a 40-years-old citizen of Chernivtsi submitted documents to the inspectors of customs post "Tysa" with a truck value of only 51,000 hryvnias.   Having checked the driver's personal belongings inspectors discovered a bag with the documents among which they found another invoice stating that the price of the truck in more than 95,000 hryvnias.  

Thus, for submission of false statement on the vehicle value, the customs drew up a protocol against the driver according to the article 483 Part 1 of the Customs Code of Ukraine and seized a truck.

Another Ukrainian, who was driving with his «RENAULT TRAFIC» to Poland, decided to take advantage of fast "green corridor" of the customs post "Tysa" and pass through the border without any obstacles. However, customs officials decided to review the car. However, after a detailed revision the car turned out to be packed with 80 boxes of cigarettes Ukrainian excise. Thus, more than half a box of different tobacco brands like «Marlboro Gold», «Priluki special» «Winston», «Classic», «Chesterfild», «Glamour» and «LD Violet» - worth 8,200 hryvnias were previously hidden in hollow spaces under the decorative panels of the vehicle.  

In case the court's decision is made in the state's favour, the offender will have to pay penalty of 100% of the hidden products value, which will be confiscated together with the car that was used for illicit transfer of cigarettes - said Victoria Sengetovska, the press secretary of Chop customs.
