10th Ukrainian Fishermen Festival among disabled athletes took place in Vinogradovo

On July 27-28, Vynohradovo district sports and rehabilitation organization of Disabled People “Vidrodzhennya” ("Revival") held the tenth Ukrainian Fishermen Festival among athletes with disabilities.

The best results at the Festival were shown by Alexander Sukhan, Julius Feka (both from Mukachevo) and Ivan Didyk from Uzhgorod. Among children the winners were young Svalyava dwellers Mikhail Gudachok and Ivan Shekmar. The hosts of the competition weren’t left without a trophy either – Vynogradovo citizen Vasiliy Pribush was awarded the prize for the biggest fish caught (a 650-gram silver carp).

The festival brought together around 30 participants, there were also athletes from Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk. Due to financial difficulties the fishermen with disabilities from Lviv, Volyn, Ternopil, who had previously announced their participation, didn’t manage to come this time.

A fishing holiday on the lake in Vinogradovo was jointly organized by Eugeniy Shtaiger and Transcarpathian "Invasport" headed by Ivan Chegil with the active support of the regional organization of hunters and fishermen. Along with adults, young fishermen also competed for the prize in a special nomination, provided by the organizers.
