December 5 Uzhgorod began active phase of preparation for the winter holidays. The main Christmas tree has been installed in the city on Teatralna Square. 
As uzhgorod.in reported, the tree was cut down at a private mansion in the city, namely on I.Vash street. 

The height of the silver Christmas tree is almost 15 meters - representatives of the city government told. They also informed that they will begin to decorate the Christmas tree on Monday. "As for the embellishment of the city, we asked businessmen to beautify their establishments for the New Year. The city government will decorate Teatralna Square, Petofi Square and the Christmas tree itself, "- said the Deputy Mayor Yury Belyakov.
