Transcarpathian Volunteers Association held a report-election conference

Today, December 18 in Uzhgorod there was the VI regional report-election conference of the Transcarpathian Volunteers - the Great Patriotic War Veterans Association, which on November 22 celebrated the 20th anniversary of its foundation. 

Similar report-election campaigns took place in city, regional organizations of volunteers - veterans of the region. So more than 30 respected envoys have been delegated to the regional center, among them - veterans of the war, partisans, members of the Resistance who fought against fascism on the fronts of World War II. Among the guests there were representatives of regional authorities, the public and deputies.

 The Association brings together exclusively war veterans. Today there are about 2 thousand of them. They warmly mentioned the patrons, who help them, and cooperation with the executive and self-government authorities of the region, social services and volunteers.

The Deputy Chairman of the regional council Andriy Serbaylo, addressing the audience, first thanked them for their courage, bravery, high awareness, responsibility, manifested during the war, and selfless work, high humanism and effort they showed, rebuilding the burned homeland, creating new life for their children and grandchildren.       

Having wished the delegates of the conference and all veterans - volunteers good health and all human blessings, Andriy Serbaylo awarded some of them with insignia of the Regional Council.
