Transcarpathian company tried to evade payment of taxes in the amount of 2.6 million hryvnias
The company that operated in the field of forestry defined its tax obligations as a producer of agricultural products on special taxation terms.
But the audit found out that the company was actually engaged in harvesting and selling of firewood, while the calculation of tax liabilities was carried out on preferential terms.
Thus, the state budget lost 2.6 million hryvnias. The company officials could not explain tax collectors how usual wood turned into vegetables and fruits.
Investigators of the tax police launched pre-trial investigation. Such actions under part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are punishable by fine in the amount of 255 to 425 thousand hryvnias with confiscation of property - reported the State Tax Service in Transcarpathian region.
