The Parliament adopted the budget

The Parliament approved the budget for 2013.

The decision "to approve" the bill was supported by 242 MPs of 351 registered in the session hall.

Party of Regions gave 187 votes, "BYT-Batkivshchyna" - 0, NUNS - 5, the Communist Party - 0, "People's Party" - 20, "Reforms for the Future" - 19, non-allied - 11 votes.

Then the Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn adjourned the session until 11:20 on request of factions "BYT-Batkivshchyna" and NUNS.

Lytvyn invited faction leaders to his office to discuss the ceremony of the session closing and the work of the Verkhovna Rada of the 6th convocation.

Before the vote, the representative of "Batkivshchyna" Yuriy Karmazin said that the day before he had submitted to the parliament and sent to all MPs amendments to the draft budget on 17 pages, but on Thursday morning the comparative table had not been handed out to the deputies.

However, neither amendments not the project itself was considered on the merits. The bill was approved "based on the report of the chairman and proposals that were outlined in the report."

Oppositionist Arseniy Yatsenyuk earlier said that the draft budget was unprofessional and inefficient.

Also communist Alla Aleksandrovska said that the Communist faction would have supported the budget if it had defended the interests of citizens.

As reported, the Cabinet approved the draft law "On the State Budget for 2013" and submitted it to the Parliament on December 3 a few hours before the President dismissed the government in connection with the election of its members to the parliament.

According to the document, the budget deficit in 2013 is set in the amount of 50.4 billion hryvnias, the proceeds are assumed to equal 361.5 billion hryvnias, and the expenses - 410.7 billion hryvnias.

The price for Russian gas in the next year's budget is set in the amount of 421 dollars, the GDP forecast is 3.4%, while the inflation is expected at 4.8%.
