In Transcarpathia liquidators of the Chernobyl accident were honored

Today, December 14 in Uzhgorod there were celebrations to honor the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident. 
Among the participants were the deputy head of the regional council Andriy Serbaylo, the Deputy Governor Mykhailo Popovich, head of the regional public organization "Chernobyl Union of Ukraine" Vasyl Uhryn, representatives of regional administrations and institutions, cities and districts, public of the region.
 Warm thanks to all the liquidators for courage, sincere congratulations, flowers at the monument to Chernobyl accident liquidators - all this is a tribute of respect and gratitude to those who did not spare their life and health for the future of their people and all mankind. A mournful reminder of the difficult victory over the fire, which brings us to the tragic events that shook the world 26 years ago.
 Andriy Serbaylo, addressing the audience, talked about the unprecedented feat: in extreme conditions hundreds of thousands of people raised to fight an invisible enemy.    He emphasized that we honor their heroism, sacrifice and victory. 
 For the shown courage, dedication and professionalism during the liquidation of the aftermath of the accident at Chernobyl, active citizenship and on the occasion of the Day of commemorating the liquidators of the aftermath of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, in accordance with the order of the Regional Council chairman Ivan Baloha, Andriy Serbaylo awarded several liquidators with insignia of the Regional Council. 
Similar celebrations were held in all cities and district centers of Transcarpathia - informed the press service of the regional council.
