As of the next year the victim of human trafficking will be receiving financial compensation
On Thursday, December 13, at 12.00 in Uzhgorod Press Club there will be a meeting devoted to "Combating human trafficking in Ukraine: a regional perspective." The event will take place as a result of "16 days against violence" project, that takes place in Ukraine every year in December.
They will also discuss the innovations in the Ukrainian legislation, which are implemented on January 1, 2013 and concern those people who are affected by such phenomena as human trafficking. This status will provide for payment of financial assistance. The participants will tell how exactly this process will be carried out and who will be entitled for reimbursement, as well as other details:
Oksana Huranych, chief specialist of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration;
Volodymyr Polak, head of the Department for combating human trafficking in the Transcarpathian region
Inna Sabadosh, head of the NGO Vesta.
