From now on two police officers started their monitoring work on 4 border crossing points of Ukraine – ‘Chop’, ‘Luzhanka’, ‘Uzhgorod’, ‘Tysa’. They meet fans at the boards and take care of them.

The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region, Major General Viktor Rusyn informed during the meeting that those who speak foreign language must to be among them. ‘We have provided every region with MIA employees and volunteers, so that they could help to the Euro-fans. They will respond on the foreigners’ phone calls in English. The electronic interpreters were given to law enforcement officers in order to help them in communication with foreigners. They will be used for the investigative team departure at the scene, if something happens’.

The territory of the region Kyiv-Chop highway was additionally equipped with three points – tents, where two police officers will perform their duties for the guests from abroad safety.

In general, according to the department head, all the Transcarpathian MIA personnel were transferred to the reinforced version of the duty performance. Besides, 230 regional police officers were sent to Lviv. ‘These are the post patrolling workers, cynologists, “Berkut”. They will be involved for duties performance in Lviv squads for the public order ensuring.’
