Uzhgorod ‘Goverla’ team will play at ‘Arena Lviv’ stadium during 2012

The agreements on further cooperation were reached between the stadium leadership and the representatives of Uzhgorod football club ‘Goverla’.

The agreement was concluded until the end of 2012. This time is needed for the full cooperation establishing between the stadium and the team. The agreement will be reviewed after this term.

The ‘Goverla-Zakarpattia’ team will play with ‘Shakhtar’ and ‘Metalist’, the grandees of Ukrainian football, at ‘Arena Lviv’ in July-August.   

We congratulate the ‘Goverla-Zakrpattia’ team with deserved release to the Premier League – said the Operations Director of the stadium Oleksii Zhukovin. – It’s wonderful that the high quality football will be added in Lviv. ‘Arena Lviv’ is ready to provide with the best conditions for the teams’ games in the exclusive division.

In his turn, the football club ‘Goverla’ vice president Alexander Shufrych said: ‘We are sincerely grateful to Lviv and especially the leadership of the football stadium “Arena Lviv” for the given opportunity to hold home games of the Premier League at the time when the repair and construction works will be carried out at our hometown stadium “Avangard”. I would like to reassure our fans, that there will be created all conditions for the most comfortable matches visiting in Lviv for them.’

The question of the possible contract continuation with FC ‘Karpaty’ for the next season remains open.

The stadium lawn and all the technical systems easily withstand the load of three-four matches for month. That is why there will not be any difficulties if ‘Arena Lviv’ be the home stadium for two teams at once. – The only thing is the real desire to play exactly at this stadium. But we have not seen this desire from ‘Karpaty’ yet.

We want to remind you that the new football season starts from July 10 in Ukraine, with the match for the Super Cup of Ukraine. The first game will be held on July 21 (the base day) at the ‘Arena Lviv’ stadium. The First League Champions ‘Goverla-Zakarpattia’ will play with the Premier League Champions from Donetsk ‘Shakhtar’.
