Uzhgorod bus drivers received two million of ‘privileged’ gryvnia from the municipal budget

Recently, Uzhgorod bus drivers stated that the cost of travel within the city should grow by 50 kopiyka - from the current 2 to 2.5 UAH – for them to make ends meet. Among the main reasons for the increase in tariffs businessmen called the lack of compensation for the free transportation of privileged categories of citizens. However, has got the information about how much money as compensation for the transportation of the disabled and pensioners received from the city budget every entrepreneur who works on scheduled routes of the regional center. The amount revealed is impressive.
It turns out that despite the constant complains drivers actually get a lot of money for the transportation of the privileged is reimbursed from the budget. For example, last year, fourteen businessmen have been given 1,626,000 hryvnia compensation (650 of which received the company, whose members often complain for having to carry the pensioners free of charge – that is ‘Uzhgorod ATP-12 107’ which businessman regional Andriiv is not indifferent to).
Calculated and paid. Moreover, they paid for that guy too: 430 thousand, which the city owed for 2010, when Sergey Ratushniak was a mayor. In other words, the businessmen on wheels last year received in total more than two million hryvnia compensation.
Elementary arithmetic shows that for the money, which last year was taken from the city budget to pay to businessmen, each citizen of Uzhgorod could have been carried in bus 8 times for free. But we keep hearing how the drivers of the buses kick out the privileged, citing the fact that nobody returns them this money. I wonder, will all these details be considered in the executive committee, when, according to, tomorrow they come back to consider raising the tariffs for the carriage of passengers?
