Turn on the headlights otherwise - pay fine
The Cabinet has adopted the changes in the traffic rules, initiated by the traffic police, which include the need to turn on the headlights on a vehicle around the clock seven months a year - from October 1 to May 1.
According to UBR, failure to follow the new requirements will be punishable by a fine of up to 425 hryvnia. In addition, next to the limiting speed signs there should be installed additional signs, explaining the reason of the speed limit: a pedestrian crossing, school. Additional signs are also needed next to the sign "Control", which warns a driver to stop.
Mykola Azarov has instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to hold a monthly meeting in August so that the community "realizes the most serious road safety problems".
