Transcarpathian voter – woman

The main struggle in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada in Transcarpathian region will be around the majority districts. As for party lists, the fight will run, so to speak, at the "TV" that is, voters will be guided by all-Ukrainian leaders of certain parties. This was announced yesterday, May 10, during the presentation of the project "The journalistic bureau ‘Analytic Content’ on the preparation of information materials for the 2012 elections in Transcarpathia," said a political scientist, the head of the Public Organization "Transcarpathian Institute for Policy Research" Victor Pashchenko. Also, the scientist said that the upcoming elections will not be very "clean."

According to the political scientist, UzhNU Professor Sergei Fedaka, the problem of different political forces playing dirty against each other will be obvious. But there is a positive side to this. Perhaps the two main rivals in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada in Transcarpathian: the Party of Regions and the Yedyny Tsentr (United Center) will pull up each other. Also, Sergey Fedaka expressed the opinion that the opposition in the elections will be sharp and intense, and gave a preliminary forecast of voter turnout in the area – about 55%.

Experts have named potentially "hot" constituencies: Uzhgorod, Tyachiv, Svalyava and Berehovo. Less tension is expected in Mukachevo district.

The average Transcarpathian voter is a woman of 40-47. This is representative of the lower middle class, i.e. working layer, supporting centrist views.
