Transcarpathian village Dobron immortalized their feeder

Village Velyka Dobron of Uzhgorod district opened the monument dedicated to all those women who are engaged in handling pepper. It is a local paprika that made this village popular in the early 90’s, where the red pepper is ‘feeding’ every family. ‘Dobronska Paprika’ is well known not only in Ukraine but also abroad. People arrive after this pepper from the neighboring Hungary and the Baltic countries.

The monument is made from the sandstone, which was brought there from Vinnytsa. It was this layout that dwellers of the village Velyka Dobron choose from several suggested. The author is the local sculpture Endre Hidi-mol, worked on it for one year. More impressions - in pictures.
