Transcarpathian State Environmental Inspectorate has won a LLC ‘Hipp’ case
During an unscheduled inspection of LLC ‘Hipp’, conducted by environmental protection state inspectors of Transcarpathian region together with the employees of Uzhgorod Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office, identified a discharge of polluted wastewater into the river Stara, a fishery reservoir of the second category, which is a violation of Article 70 of the Water Code of Ukraine.
As a result of instrumental and laboratory tests in accordance with the Methodology of the reimbursement of damage calculation, caused to the state due to the violations of the state law about protection and rational use of water resources, State Environmental Inspectorate calculated and raised a claim of 8595.93 UAH.
However, of LLC ‘Hipp’refused to offset the damage caused on voluntary basis. Therefore State Environmental Inspectorate brought the case to court and Transcarpathian Economic Court met it in full.
These funds, collected in a coercing way to the account of Kiblyarskiy Village Council, will be used to implement measures for water protection water and recreation of water resources - Zakarpattya online reported, citing the press service of the State Environmental Inspection in Transcarpathian region.
