Train ‘Kyiv-Uzhgorod’ will arrive with delay
According to the Ministry for Emergencies website, 10 wagons of the cargo train (39 wagons) derailed from the railway race Borshchovychi-Pidbirtsi of Pustomytivskyy district, 7 of which overturned (4 diesel fuel tanks, petrol fuel tank and 2 empty wagons) today at 12.20 a.m.
Due to the accident 5 fuel tanks decompression and its slow leakage (through the neck) occurred within the protection zone with subsequent three tanks blaze. The fire was localized at 2.30 a.m. and liquidated at 2.53 a.m. 17 departments of Firefighting and Rescue Service of MOE and fire train ‘Ukraliznytsia’ were involved in order to liquidate the fire. There is no victims or injured. Nearly 250 meters of electric-networks and railroad line are damaged. The railway transport movement is carried by the backup scheme. The train ‘Kyiv-Uzhgorod’ will arrive with delay because of an accident in Lviv region, informs Mukachevo.net. The train will arrive with seven hours delay.
