To Hungary in search of ‘palinka’
For the seventh time in the courtyard of the royal castle in Budapest the festival of ‘palinka’ or, as Slavs call it, ‘palenka’ will be held. The basic idea is to popularize the drink, which the citizens and their guests will be able to taste for four days. This year the emphasis will be placed on apricot and the drinks which will be named after this fruit "Hungarikum."
Visitors will have the opportunity to try more than one hundred kinds of drinks. Last year's experience showed that the choice of "palinka of the year" is very popular. In addition, this year they will continue the tradition of thematic design: apricot will be in the center of all events, last year it was a plum.
During the festival in the courtyard Gunyadi and Lwin, over 25 manufacturers will represent their drinks. The fullness of flavor will be enriched by Hungarian domestic cheeses, delicious wines and champagne and sausages. One of the highlights will be the palinka, which is added to chocolate. Besides food and beverages Hungarian musicians will entertain guests. This year, for the first time organizers introduced pre-booking.
The festival will be held from 10 to 13 May, the cost of a one-time entrance fee, which includes a glass of palinka - is about 60 hryvnia.
