There is an opportunity to learn the embroidery secrets on Sunday

The lessons of traditional folk embroidery studio ‘Makosh’ will be held at the cultural and historical center of ‘St. Miklosh Castle’ at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 6. It will be about the traditional folklore embroidery symbolism and the semantics of ornamentation, informs Zakarpattia online.

It is believed that the main purpose of embroidery is the clothes decoration and interior-ceremonial textiles, but in reality embroidery used to have and still has rather an occult character. This is primarily the protection from all the bad. Every color, shape in embroidery has its own meaning, its aura, its energy.

Lessons will be conducted under the exclusive methods of the theory and practice teaching of Yuriy Melnychuk folk embroidery, which he has been implementing in the Kyiv folk art center ‘Ivan Gonchar’s Museum’ for more than five years.

Everyone who likes to work with a needle and a thread, and who just wants to make friends with them are invited there. The studio will work once a week on Sunday. Lessons are intended for two hours – a lecture and a practical part.

Embroidery is a beautiful craft that takes hand embroidery to a new level. Allowing the needle worker to produce a larger volume of work in a fraction of the time it would take for hand embroidery, it makes the craft achievable for just about everyone. Lessons and practice are key elements in becoming proficient in embroidery,Embroidery Designs
