The gas price for Ukraine has risen up to 550 dollars

The petroleum rise in price in the world led to the Russian gas price rise for Ukraine up to $550 per thousand cubic meters, informed Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

‘The intense political situation around the Petroleum Exporting Countries hit the global market and, of course, Ukraine, the price rising of petroleum and gas. For us this hit made a bad influence because Ukraine has to pay an absurd price for gas: $550 per thousand cubic meters’ – said the head of the government.

We want to remind you that Ukraine started 2012 year from the price of $416 per thousand cubic meters (516 without Kharkiv discount).

It is known that gas negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow last more than one month, Ukrainian officials claimed that gas prices became ‘bounded’ and they were looking for opportunities to reduce it.

According to unofficial information, ‘Gazprom’ is ready to offer considerable discounts in obtaining the control over the local gas transportation system. At the same time the government of Ukraine has agreed to give 33% of gas transportation system to ‘Gazprom’, another 33 Europeans have to get and 34 remains in Ukraine.
