The Cabinet of Ministers decided to raise the minimum price for sugar

The price for sugar made of beets (2012 crops) will increase in Ligabiznes informs. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the relevant decision on April 11, the text of Resolution №290 is posted on the government website. In accordance with the governmental decision, the minimum price for 1 ton of sugar grown this year increased by 15,8% to 4925,14 hryvnia (excluding VAT), the last year’s minimum price was 4,250 hryvnia per 1 ton. The price for beet has also increased, though, insignificantly: from 339,24 hryvnia for 1 ton to 339,85 hryvnia for 1 ton.

According to the current legislation, the minimum price for sugar and sugar beet of ‘A’ quota is set annually before January 1 taking into consideration the monthly inflation rates.
