Series of terrorist attacks in Dnipropetrovsk (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

There was a series of four explosions in the center of Dnipropetrovsk on April 27, according to the preliminary reports 29 people were injured.

The first explosion took place at the tram stop on the Karl Marks Avenue in the city center at 11.50 a.m. According to the preliminary information, five people were injured – three women and two men. Victims with different injuries were taken to the hospital. The blast broke the windows in the tram and passenger car that was parked nearby. The second explosion took place at 12.20 a.m. near the cinema ‘Rodyna’, the unknown object in the bin exploded. According to the preliminary information, 7 people were injured.

The third explosion took place soon not far from the Globa Park. One woman was injured according to the law enforcement officers. She was taken to the hospital with the arm injury.

The fourth explosion took place in the same area where the first had happened – on the Karl Marks Avenue near the Opera House, also at the tram stop. Nobody was injured in the result of the 4^th explosion. The accident place is surrounded by employees.

The regional law enforcement officers’ investigative team is working at the accident place. Under the following fact, the Dnipropetrovsk region Prosecutor instituted criminal proceedings on the basis of crime under Part 2, article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist attack).

Leaders of MIA of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General and the Security Service flew in Dnipropetrovsk, where the explosions were occurred.

‘The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vitaliy Zakharchenko, the Deputy of Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Voytsyshen, the First Deputy Head of Security Service Petro Shatkovskyy, employees of central Ministry and Security Service arrived in Dnipropetrovsk,’ – informs the press service.

It was also informed in the department that on the facts of explosions the Dnipropetrovsk region prosecutor instituted criminal proceedings on the basis of crime under Part 2, article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist attack).
