Pushkin’s birthday was celebrated in Uzhgorod

The people of different ages, professions and positions come to ‘congratulate’ Alexandr Sergeievich Pushkin with his 613th birth anniversary. All the wishing put flowers at the monument to the great poet.

Students from different schools recited poetry and prose and even sang songs. The children’s puppet theater group ‘Bavka’ is also joined to the event. They showed a fragment from ‘The Tale of Tsar Saltan’. The song on the Pushkin’s words was performed by the Arts school pupils. The brass band accompanied the show with music.

The concert was organized by the Uzhgorod Union of Russian Culture, the members of which also congratulated all those who gathered with the remarkable day.
