The demonstration of lecturers and students of Uzhgorod National University for the abolition of the Cabinet of Ministers’ order №760-p from 10.08.2011 on the reorganization of Transcarpathian universities will take place on Monday, April 9. This is stated in today’s message to the Mayor of Uzhgorod Viktor Pogorelov.
Lecturers and students will demand execution of the Regional Council’s decision from March 2, 2012, which implied a petition for suspension of the reorganization of universities.
The beginning of the demonstration is at 14.00 near the main building UzhNU, from where lecturers and students move on to the Transcarpathian Regional Administration (Narodna Square).
We remind you that Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Yevhen Sulima during his visit to Uzhgorod (03/01/2012) pledged to initiate the abolition of this order at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers which hasn’t been done so far, – Zakarpattja online reported.
