Hungarian admirers of Transcarpathia gave a concert in Uzhgorod (photo)
The "Concert of Hungarian artists - admirers of Transcarpathia", organized with the assistance of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod has just finished in Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic Hall.
It is worth mentioning that among the stars of the Hungarian Opera (Andrea Melat, Peter Baltso and Rita Rats), who performed on the stage today, there was also a native Transcarpathian – pianist-accompanist Katalin Alter. The woman was born in Mukachevo, studied music in Uzhgorod and then in Lviv and Kiev. She built her career on the territory of the neighboring country, Hungary.
Today, the artists performed for Transcarpathian listeners the opera compositions of Franz Liszt, the arias of the opera "Hunyadi Laszlo", Camille Saint-Saens' "Samson and Delilah", Gaetano Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor" and others. After loud applause and shouts "Encore!", grateful for the heartwarming concert audience finally was awarded by the singers with a Ukrainian song "Whose am I".
