Today, on May 28, during a meeting at the press center "Zakarpattya", allergologist Alla Petrischak told the reporters how to deal with one of the nation's most common diseases - allergy.

"Recently, fellow researchers have studied the quality of what we breathe. As a result, it has been determined that the ecology of human dwellings is 80 times worse than in the street!", said the doctor. Then, she said, allergists have identified several factors affecting the air pollution in flats. In particular, these are use of chemicals, dust and dirt brought home along with the clothing, use of modern building materials, etc. But the greatest threat to human health is room dust, because it consists of many different elements: exfoliation of the epidermis, hair and dirt. Most of it is stored in bed linen, upholstered furniture, toys, books and carpets. Scientists have also determined in the apartment, where 4 people live, 30-40 kilograms of dust is piled per year!

There are no universal anti-allergy pills. However, the World Health Organization defines one of the first points of treatment – reduction of exposure to the allergen. That is, you need to create sterile conditions in the room. One must do wet cleaning in the room at least several times a week, where it is possible one should remove natural shag rugs, get rid of curtains, wash pillows, blankets and toys from time to time and not contact with pets.
